Gluten-free angel food cake

A light dessert that’s also gluten-free, this angel food cake recipe is sure to please! Use egg yolks to make crème brûlée. They’re delicious!
Ingredients
- 11 egg whites
- 1½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup gluten-free flour
- 1 tsp (5 ml) cream of tartar
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
- Pinch of salt
Directions
- Beat egg whites with salt until frothy. Add cream of tartar and vanilla. Beat until stiff but not dry.
- Sift flour with powdered sugar and fold gently into egg whites.
- Bake in an ungreased tube pan for one hour at 300ºF.
- Cool upside down.
*The flour used contains the following ingredients: Organic rice flour, organic tapioca flour, organic chickpeas, organic rice bran extract, organic guar gum.
N.B. This recipe can also be made with wheat flour for people with no gluten-free diet.
